Hello – I just bought an EX3 and am having trouble transfering images to the latest FCP version. I have installed the included transfer software and driver update but can only view shots within the clip browsing software. After copying all the files to my computer – FCP and Quicktime cannot identify/play them…. Has anyone got a fix for this? Thanks….

    More details?
Copied with ClipBrowser (CRC On ideally)?
You don’t mention using XDCAM Transfer to re-wrap them to .mov. At that point Quicktime should play them.

If you’re trying to play the MP4 (which is before re-wrap) you’ll need to use VLC player.

FCP Log & Transfer can also import and re-wrap to .mov. There’s a free Sony plugin for that.

You must use Clipbrowser or XDCAM Transfer to copy your clips. Make sure you visit the Sony professional website to get the most recent versions.

Yes I’m all sorted now, Thanks. I just needed the latest transfer stuff from Sony. I didn’t realize the clip browser didn’t do the transfer also. Thanks again….
