EX3 rec button malfunction (plus some shoots)
… very happy with the EX3, however suddenly my main rec button began to fail…. as if it were “moved” or “broken” inside the rubber cover…. I’m preparing to send the camera for service but want to share the experience with other users that maybe have had similar problems …. any comment would be welcome….

I had the rubber cap become jammed and had to loosen the grip and I was able to reset it. If I remember correctly it rotated and it is definitely something you can fix.

Thank you Michael …. Do you “open” the grip, or just manipulate the rubber cover ?? … I tried to “take off” the rubber cover in order to find and “fix” the button, but it was very difficult or “risky” …is that easy ??

I think I opened the grip and reset the button. It wasn’t hard to do so if you are careful it should save you the time lost of taking it in for service.
