    EX1r or Canon XF300/305 or ???

    So my trusty EX1r was diagnosed as DOA at the repair shop and I am getting a check for the cost of the camera from the warranty company. I planned on just replacing the old one with a new EX1r but then I thought I should look at my other options in that price range. The Canon XF300 seems to be the closest competitor these days.

    Any thoughts about the pros and cons of each? Any of you have experience using both?

    I know this question was asked in the past but I haven’t found any recent discussions on the matter. Now that both cameras are a few years old, I was hoping for some actual user insight not just theoretical speculation based on the tech specs.
