  EX1 Histogram – blacks are crushing at 3%?

  Hi, I am a new EX1 user and am confused by my on-screen histogram?

  The left side of the histogram has NEVER shown any pixels at pure black, even with the lens cap closed in pure darkness, the “cliff” appears not at the extreme left side of the histogram but appears to be at the 5% mark. The on-screen brightness indicator in the centre of the screen also displays “3%” – shouldn’t it be zero at pure black??

  I am confused, I have scoured the manual and the forums and cannot find anything about this? what’s going on here? many thanks!
