EX1 HDV and Files
Hey All,
If I shoot on the EX1 in HDV mode, how to I access the HDV footage from the cards as individual files like I would had I shot the footage via XDCAM? I don’t want to have to capture via firewire. I’d rather just copy the file(s) from the cards to my hard drive. Thanks.

They ARE files on the card, just like the files shot at the higher bit-rate.

Yes but Chris I think he wants to know whether he can actually read the files once he has transferred them or does he need the extra Sony software that is required to read the media shot in HQ. For myself I currently transfer my EX1 SP (HDV) media to tape via firewire but he doesn’t want to do that it seems.
