EX1 files into FCP7 – How?
Am using FCP for the first time with EX1 BPAV folders and cannot import the contents to edit. I am confused by Sony software. FCP7 on MacPro with Snow Leopard is my system.

You need to go through Log & Transfer.
To do that you need some software:
– SONY Clip Browser.
– SONY Transfer tool.

Hi, I’m working with an EX3 with the same files. Using Log and transfer will do. You might have to download some dirvers and interfaces before you can use it. All the interfaces are on the sony and apple websites.
Some other users might be able to give the exact files needed.

I use file import. You have down load Sony Software. Then you will get XDCAM import.

Also you might want to search and find XDCAM clip browser software (also free), nice to be able to play clips without having to open final cut.
