I shot one take lasting 25 minutes on my Ex1 at 1080p 24p. The camera playback show one thumbnail as expected however when exported to my computer for editing it became divided into three smaller in size duplicate clips. I never experienced this before. Can anyone explain this dilemma?

Cards do that by design. Formated Fat32 which has 4GB limit. XDCAM Transfer rejoins them if all are available when rewrapping to MOV, assuming you’re working with Final Cut Pro. On Windows you’d either use the separate MP4 or rewrap to MXF depending on your NLE.

… or “re-join” the clips in just ONE (as 1 thumbnail) in a new BVAP folder (with clip browser) that you can archive as original (at least on HDD)… then can rewrap the clip to mxf or read directly if the NLE can do that….

    good luck
