  EX1 (ECS) Extended Clear Scan?

  I’m planning to use a Sony EX1 for an upcoming overseas shoot. I will be shooting around old CRT monitors and projected screens in developing countries.
  Wondering if anyone has actually used the EX1’s ECS function. If so, do you know it’s range? Is there anything different about it (I own a Varicam, Betacam, DVCAM, SDX 900).
  The manual has almost no info about it and I can’t find anything on-line (or on CC).
  Since I’m putting the carne together on Monday, I could use help asap.
