    Hey!

Have been asked to stream a shoot live in August, so for once Im gonna do some research well beforehand.

The media encoder seems easy enough to use at first glance.

Ive been able to make a connection to the clients FMS3 easily.

I did this on a laptop with a DV source in through firewire.

The REAL shoot will be shot using EX1 cams from Sony.

That means we will need to use a HD-SDI cards as the video input device.
( And these are not yet purchased )

The adobe papers mention only a few low priced firewire cards as tested – and no SDI cards, but many people claim that it should work….

    Question:

Has anyone actually tried a PC HD-SDi card to do this?

If so, recommendations as to which card? ( it will probably be used only for this one occasion, so low priced would be nice )

    Alternatively:

Could someone install the free adobe media encoder 2.5 – and se if their card works with it?
    ( Windows only)

    Thanks Guys!
