I have been playing around with the Demo version of Sound keys recently and am enjoying it a lot. I was wondering if it is at all possible to do the following:

Have the evolution of fractal noise increasing at a constant rate and then have sound keys supplement it with spikes from say the bass beat?

Is there some sort of expression or parameter that one can add on to an expression that adds a constantly counting value?

Thanks to all who replied to my last post Mylenium and yikesmikes.

    Cheers

    Chris

This is a little outside my area of experties, but I know that you can have sound keys generate values that only build off each other – using the falloff method called None(Integrate)

If you write an expression that says get the values from the evolution keyframes and then add the values from soundkeys so maybe…

    1) Set the soundkeys falloff to none
    2) add an expression to the evolution effect that says:

    effect(“Fractal Noise”)(24) + effect(“Sound Keys”)(“Output 1”)

I got this expression by first pickwhipoing the word Evolution, adding a plus (+) and then pickwhipping sound keys’ output 1 property.

this assumes that both the sound keys effect and the fractal noise are on the same layer. If not you have to alter this. But again pickwhipping will write the correct code for you.

Hopefully you can make this look more attractive than what it looked like when I made it.

    Thanks Aharon!

Exactly what I’m looking for! Just going to tweak it a bit! 🙂
