    Group,

First of all, thanks for induldging me with the myraid posts I have put up this past week (I am a producer trying to work his way through the techincal world of editing). I was curious as to the success people have met had using an external SATA drive for editing versus USB 2 or Firewire. The specs say eSATA is quite a bit faster, is this true? What has been your experience? Has anyone used eSATA with a laptop?

    Thanks so much,

    Doug

If the laptop has a Express Card port, SATA drives are the way to go.
