    using Media composer software
    Mojo SDI
    QUAD 2.5
    1 gig of ram
    Lacie firewire drives

    I am getting errors when caputuring 1:1 from digital betcam

    Capture aborted due to video overrun. The media captured at this point may be unuseable and/or incomplete

    anyone seen this issue

    Thanks

    Paul

    Did you read the part about drive speed and datarate of uncompressed video?

    Wild guess.
    Your drive is too slow.
    Since you can afford a digibeta, you also can afford a decent array 🙂

    If you have to use Firewire drives check out G-Technology, G-RAID drives.

    Life is linear. Edit life.

    In addition to slow drives, I’m pretty sure the minimum requirements for Media Composer ask for 2 Gig of RAM, even better if you go to 3. Plus, and I’m not really familiar with Macs, but if your Mojo is sharing the same bus as your firewire you’ll have a lot of problems–the Mojo doesn’t like to share resources, so you may need a seperate firewire card (you do on a PC, it might be different on a Mac), and if you do need a firewire card it likely has to go into a specific slot.
