    hi there

i’ve got avid media composer working on a mac.

if i do the usual ‘get current sequence’ command i get an error message

    exception: disk file not found

however, if i use open instead and navigate to the seq it works.

the mac is connected to a network and the projects and media are stored on an isis.

    any idea what’s wrong?

    cheers

    Hi,

I haven’t had that particular error before, but normally when I do have an issue using “get current sequence”, I resolve it like so:

In the EDL manager, click File->Open. Then navigate to a bin that contains nothing but the sequence from which you want to make an EDL (so you may have to create this bin for this purpose – be sure to close it or save it otherwise it will be empty)

Having set the tracks you want to import, after selecting the bin you will hopefully be able to create the EDL.

    Good luck.
