Error transfering VHS media into Final Cut Pro
alrighty,
So i’m trying to transfer VHS media into Final Cut to be edited. I’m utilizing a pass-through (cable out of VCR into Camera, Fire wire from camera to computer.
when i go to Log and Capture it shows the video streaming in the preview but when i press *Capture*–*Now* the capture box is black, and at the bottom it states
Waiting for time code.
Device must be in VTR mode when the device control is inabled.
press esc to abort.
Any thoughts on why this is occurring?

since you are not coming off a tape there is no TC in the firewire stream. Just set Device Control to Non-controllable and you will be fine.
