ERROR: The file has an unsupported compression type
It seems that no matter what type of wav I export out of the multi track mixdown in Adobe Audition 2.0, when I go to import it into premiere 5.0, I always get the unsupported compression type error. I don’t understand why though. I have tried 32 and 16bit/dither and non dither/and its at 48khz which is what it should be. There are about 5 or 6 different wav types you can export out of audition. Non seem to work.
Any thoughts?

Hey Tim,
I am still PC. I am able to do Mp3 but would prefer the uncompressed format. I am just a little confused as to what has changed in my process that wav isn’t working.

BTW, I did update my drivers for Quadro. Can’t really tell if that helped or not. Now it seems when my computer goes to screen saver mode, I lose my 2nd monitor and have to go back into the nvidia properties to get it back on. I did however seem to be a few updates behind on those drivers. Adobe was all up to date though.

This is the standard for video editing, if you don’t touch any other settings, this ought to work.
