I am using vegas 7+dvd architect and have had success in burning a couple of dvd’s now I cannot burn my project which is 5mins long and under 1gb in size.I emailed sony tech support (only took 2wks to get a response) and they suggested rerender using render as ….mpg2 thengo back to reder the audio of which I could not do to get the 5.1audio in the render as….the video file keeps on comming up and not sure how to extract the audio to be in sync with the video.
When I select burn video cd in the tools window it comes up showing the format is mpg1 and when I try the drop down window to try and change it to mpg2 I cannot…..I am not sure of what I did or what I can do….to fix my problem….I was thinking of deleting vegas and dvd architect and then reinstalling it to factory default….my sound card is audigy 4 sound blaster…..trying to give as much info….when booting up I notice and error messasge saying my ati driver may not be working correctly……don’t know if this is part of the problem…..225gb hard drive…..163gb free space…..dfrag every few days,,,and clean up dr daily……………….
    5min video and 10hrs of editing……..helpppppppppp….please

Not sure where you are going off course, but the proceedure is to go to File > Render As. Then choose the file format you want to render to using the Save As Type drop drown list.

After you choose the format, you an use different Templates (presets) or change them using the Custom button.

At the bottom, there is a checkbox for Render Loop Region Only. If you have this set the same for your Mpeg2 and AC-3 renders, the sync will match up.

[oneamproductions] “When I select burn video cd in the tools window it comes up showing the format is mpg1 and when I try the drop down window to try and change it to mpg2 I cannot…..I am not sure of what I did or what I can do….to fix my problem….”

That’s not the process for creating a DVD — you have to launch DVD Architect, and author the DVD accordingly…
