  • Error Message when Importing P2 Footage into FCP

I’ve tried importing the clips as a group and individually. But I keep getting this error message:

“One or more P2 clips failed to import; probably incomplete or corrupt clips”

Is there any hope? What am I doing wrong? What should I do?

In the P2 Import window, click on the Sprocket looking thing…you’ll get a drop down menu. Select preferences. Turn off REMOVE DUPLICATE FRAMES.

    Try again.

I have Final Cut Pro 5.0 and don’t see any sprocket thing in the P2 import window. Is there a way I can change preferences some other way?

AH…that option is with FCP 5.1. You need at least FCP 5.0.4 to import P2 footage.
