I keep getting this error message in FCP when I try to encoded to Mpeg2 via Quicktime Conversion even if the movie is completely rendered. Has anyone encountered this before? And when I try to do it in Compressor, it just fails right away. Any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks!

Don’t know why you’re getting that message, but more importantly, why use QT conversion? Compressor is a better choice and it will do AC3 audio encoding simutaneously too.

Thanks for the reply David. I’ve always used Compressor but for some reason everytime I try to use it now, the batch fails right away. It’s not even trying to process the batch, it just quickly fails as soon as I hit submit. Have you had this problem before? Thanks!

Sounds like you’re due for a reinstall… Thanksfully everything here is working well.
