error loading .mov and .flv files
hi everybody. so i started using adobe after effects cs5 after few vacations and now im having a problem. whenever i try to import a .mov or .flv file, it gives and error saying file cannot be imported. file is currepted or not supported. i have used exact same files before and never had an error. mp4 files are loaded without any problem. dont know about other formats.
anyone help please. because without loading those files, i cant work.

Try to delete your prefs file.
If you’re on a Mac, hold down the “Command + Option + Shift” keys as you start After Effects, this will allow you to delete the corrupt preference file. On a PC its “Control + Alt + Shift”.

Try to install latest version of Quicktime(64-bit). May be this will work.

O. Now I updated after effects . Even re installed but still same error. Its driving me crazy 🙁
