I purchased this copy of PI Nov 20, 2009 9:40 pm element 5 order number: 305250925
I in stalled in applications pI folder install ok and authorized, program worked fine.
I saved a folder from the original download off my decktop to my ftp as a back up and now today
when opening pi from App folder I get this message Licence error (-10) what do I do to fix this ?
I spent the extra 390usd as I already bought pI 3.0.2 which I understood would not work on my
newer OS 10.5.8 Intel based computers.

Please HELP ! What do I to fix this. I never had trouble moving my old version around to new from G4
to G5, also I need to be able to have a copy on my Macbook pro as well as my Macpro in the studio
Certainly you offer the 1 install per license like Adobe and everyone else that require Licensing and activation…

I’m slammed at work today and realy need this product up and running.

Thank for your prompt help in advance

Usually I suggest the following when you get a -10:

    1) Restart the computer. Sometimes that clears the error.

    2) If you’re using iDisk, eject it (whatever the terminology is). Some users have reported that iDisk interferes with the activation.

    3) Last thing to do is delete the Users/Shared/Ticket/particleIllusion.Ticket file and activate again at the website. (Do NOT delete the ticket file that’s in the particleIllusion application folder!)

Whenever you activate, record the “request number” and activation code.

    Thanks Alan,

Restart worked, hopefully this isn’t going to be an on going quirk
like the sudden crashes 3.0.2 has.

    Regards, Dane

Why are you using 3.0.2? Download the update from our website:
