CS3 is giving me this Error-Cant activate recorder. Try resetting camera.

I have tried everything on the Adobe forums regarding this with no luck.

When I look in the device manager there is the famous yellow exclamation point over the AVC device, the kind of warning symbol that pops up when you have an IRQ conflict or similar.

The device manager just says that the drivers arent installed.

I have a quad core xeon on an intel mobo.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling firewire card, as well as all of the steps in the adobe troubleshooting section.

I just wondered if you managed to get this problem sorted as I am suffering the same issue now with a JVC GYHD251 camera, it’s damned frustrating.

    All the best
