    Hello, I am having a heck of a time with my external hard drive. I export my projects from final cut pro to a QuickTime movie. But it the QuickTime player is a default only it is still like an final cut project. I need to no how to fix this problem I have changed my setting on my external hard drive to extended and this let me export to my hard drive but when I opened it up final cut will not read it? I am going crazy know one seems to know how to help? So if any one knows please HELP!!! Thanks

    Not sure what you are saying, but dose it have to do with the icon? The default program that opens the file you created?

    I think this means you have an HFS+ Extended formated external hard drive and that the file that is exported from FCP cannot be opened by any program?

    Maybe tell us what you have tried to do to resolve your issues and a little more detailed explanation of the hardware setup and software installed.

    Well when you electronically export a final cut project it cerates a QuickTime file. Then after doing that I try to dump it to an external hard drive. It has worked in the past. Recently when dumping my computer said type 36 error. Is there a size limit? I have no clue what to do?
