Equipment Insurance Anyone?
Hi All:
It has occured to me that with the acquisition of new equipment, I really need to obtain equipment insurance. I used to have a full producers package which was really expensive, about $10,000.00 a year. I don’t need that as I am freelancing a lot but I do need to cover new computers, editing, grip and lighting gear for replacement costs.
Anyone have a company that they like for this? Reasonable cost, good coverage and service? Forget homeowners, this is to cover a total of about $80,000.00 worth of pro gear, my home insurance guy is clueless about which kind of policy would even cover this.

If i work with anyone who I deem clueless they dont’ work for me much longer…sounds like you might approach a different insurance company.
