  Equipment Advice

  Hi folks.

  I need to purchase a new Notebook PC and am hoping that some of you will take a few minutes to to tell me what you believe is the best possible machine.

  I am an aggressive hobbyist, editing mostly home video but, on a rare occasion, I will edit some simple AV for my marketing company. I am currently using a SONY Vaio Notebook to run Vegas Pro 9. Also, I like using my notebook to use my notebook within my home theater and my home network. While it is just a hobby, I want to get the best performance possible.

  I know there are many variables but if you can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
