Suggestions for EQ in Swimming Pool area. I have audio of a 7 year old girl shouting “To Infinity and Beyond!” that I want to use at the end of a video I am working on. She is in an aquatic therapy pool which is in a small indoor pool area. Her voice is high (7 year old girl) and there is the “empty echoing” sound of an empty indoor pool area.

She’s the only one speaking and there is no other noise to speak of.

Does anyone have any suggestions on settings for EQ. I am using Apple Final Cut Pro. It has FCP and Apple Audio Filters built in. I can also use Apple Sountrack Pro. I do not have a lot of experience in setting EQ. I’m just trying to bring out the girls voice more and get rid of the “empty” indoor pool sound.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Can you find another 7-10 year old girl and have her repeat the line in your controlled environment? In other words, loop it? Then add echo or delay to fit your taste.
I really doubt that anyone would notice and they would think that you are a magic.

I had to do this and I used my 10 year old son to do the loop. No one noticed!

    Ray,

Great idea. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. I’ve actually done that on several other videos and it never came to mind.

Thanks for the post. My children are all grown, but I have a next door neighbor that will fit the bill perfectly.
