EOS 5D .MOV files. Project settings.
I got given a job to edit that was shot on a 5D, below is the info from vegas.
There doesn’t seem to be any appropriate project settings that I can see that conforms to the info below.
I am using Vegas Pro 9.0a
Streams
Video:00:00:01.800, 30.000 fps, 1920x1080x24, H.264
Audio:00:00:01.800, 44,100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, 16-bit Little Endian-Frankie

Whenever you have source footage that doesn’t have a matching project setting, just use the Match Media Settings icon in the Project Properties (Ctrl+Enter) to create a new project preset that matches. Like this:
Having said that, EOS 5D files are not going to edit easily in Vegas (if at all). You will need an intermediate codec like Cineform Neo Scene ($99) to convert them into a format that Vegas can edit.
