Envelopes — Audio duck
In the Keyframing tutorial on Sony Creative, there is an example where if you have two audio tracks 1) Background music 2) Voice over; and you want to reduce the volume of the background music over a specific event because it is drowing out the voiceover, you can go into envelopes and insert a volume envelope on the background track. Then you can insert points on the evelope where you want to create the audio duck(reduced volume). What is shown is that an automatic selection can be made of the voice over event. This automatic selection creates two yellow triangles which are the starting and ending points of the event. How is this selection made? In the tutorial he just uses a key but its not shown which key. I’ve searched and search for this, but can’t find the answer. Evidently, this feature is only available starting a Pro 9 which I have. Hopefully, all this is clear. Thanks.
