enter sandman effect
hy I wonder if someone can tell me how to create this “flickering” or I don’t know how should I call this effect like in Metallica’s Enter Sandman music video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD-E-LDc384 like for example between 0:48-0:53 when the boy is falling down or 4:20-4:40 when he is running from truck.
Can this be done only in After Effects on normal footage,i mean shooted normally whithout any effects or special lights.Thank You

Hi there!
I would point you to experiment with the Strobe Light effect and play with settings.
I believe you can achieve something quite like that without to much of a problem.

Yes,thank you but I’m interested more in achieving that effect on the motion or movement,it’s smth like stop motion with blur or I don’t know,something like in a dream 🙂

Oh I see! My bad!
I guess applying Posterize Time (set to 5 or something) followed by CC Time Blend and playing with the settings might get you somewhere.
