    I’m using coming out of FCP 6 with the ProRes HQ codec and going to Sorenson Squeeze 5 compressing to the following specs:

    It seems that at the end of every piece I do, about the last 1/2 sec gets ultra pixelated and loses definition. I would imagine this has to do with the I vs. P frames. However, these must be a way to get around this.

    Set your frame rate to 1:1 – there’s no point in reducing frame rate these days, especially at that data rate.

    Increase your keyframe rate from 60 to at least 150, 300 might be better still.
