I searched and searched for this tip here. I have a word doc with credits from the producer and I know there is a way to use the file along with adding an asterik * between the title and the person and then importing it into FCP and using the Text-scrolling text generator.. I can’t remember the next step.

    Thanks,

    PHIL

I copy and paste the text into LiveType. Import .ipr and render.

    Hope this helps-

Thanks. However, I know there is another way without using LT.

I use other software to do this, but I saw this article that might help. https://larryjordan.biz/articles/lj_credits.html

Actually, all you need to do is import it into Boris Title Crawl which is in your generators folder in most cases. If it’s not (likely you have FCP 4-4.5), you can install it from your install disk>extras folder>Boris Calligraphy. The tab stops should come in intact. Do not use the asterisk method in the standard text generator as there is not as much control and is a lot of extra work you can avoid with Boris.

Thanks Kevin. I’ll try your method next time. I had already found what I was looking for before I read your post.

    Thanks.

    Hey,

I try the astherisk method in two workstations and i have the same problem. When i aplly the the astherisk in the text that should be at the left of the screen (the astherisk is after the text on righ side) i have the error message out of range. When i aplly in the text on the other side no probvlem happens and the method works. Do you guys know what that should be?
