    Hi Folks:

Thanks for such a helpful forum. I was wondering if Vegas Pro has a way to encrypt footage that discourages or even prevents illegal copying by others. I have some extremely valuable documentary footage that I want to send to a review team but want to protect it as well as it has not been released yet.

    Thanks very much

    Don

There is no such encryption. The only way to protect it is to watermark it. Add a transparent logo or some timecode or anything you can think of that allows them to view the footage for content but renders it useless for professional use.
