so while encore worked for a whiles, something changed to the point where if i have

    – 1 file (cineform codec)
    – 1 timeline
    – nothing else in the project

then i transcode the one file, it get an error saying input contract violation.

i’m pretty confused since this is pretty basic. i’ve since ran a windows repair, reinstalled the video drivers and reinstalled encore. does anyone have any suggestions?

then when i hit continue is when the input contract violation has occured

Not everyone has Cineform, that could change things. The issue with me, is that it worked in October, then the same project would not transcode a few months later. I thought it was my machine until I started reading other posts. I do have Matrox on my machine, but no other Matrox users reported this. I also change the 3gb switch settings, but haven’t tried it yet. One user said that after changing the 3gb switch he had no more issues in Encore. I’ll let you know over the weekend. Of course if you don’t use the 3gb switch, then the common denominator is missing.
