Encore untransocdes randomly… help!
Hi guys. I’m having a problem with Encore CS4. Every now and then it will just apparently forget that I’ve spent hours transcoding things. I can’t do anything but transcode the whole thing and build the project at the same time, which isn’t the most efficient way of doing things.
Sometimes it will untranscode something if I do something as simple as changing the end action on a timeline. It’s infuriating. Can anybody shed some light on this?

Sorry Adam – this is no answer to you but I have the same problem – sometimes Encore gets almost to the end of a long blu-ray transcode and just quits. All the transcoding has been done (hours) – but when I re-open the project it starts transcoding all over again. In DVD studio Pro you can tell it to find the transcodes – so how do you do that with encore – is is it too plain dumb? Or would toast pick up the transcodes and burn there ?
A long term DP – likes 35mm and HD equally – changing with digital media – Began as a commercials editor !
