Encore “Highlight” issue
I’m using CS5.5. I cut a project in Premiere and then went to Encore to author the DVD. I picked a “preset” (Halloween Submenu SD) from the list. I hated the menu, but liked the button layout and the video thumbnail shape. Once placing the menu into my project, I opened it in Photoshop to begin making some changes… I changed the background no problem. I turned off the “next” and “Previous” buttons, as I don’t need them. I changed the “Main menu” button to “Play All” and moved it to the top right of the screen. I put titles under each thumbnail to reflect the selection it would be choosing when depressed… all worked well… except for one thing.
I changed the highlight of each video thumbnail. My client has six different colors in their logo. I thought it would be nice to have each of my thumbnails highlight color reflect a different color in their logo. I am able to change the color of each high light using a variety of methods in Ps CS5.5 (either image: hue/sat, or replace color, or I’ve even tried creating a new layer, selecting the old layer and FILLING in that selection with the appropriate color on the new layer…)
Each and every time everything looks right in Ps… not so much in Encore.
Is there a way to set “global” highlights in Encore Menus? If so, is there a way to turn it off?
I’ve searched all over the place and can’t find an answer.
Thanks.
