Encore chapters not updating from Premiere Pro in CS4
I am using Production Premium CS4, and have created Encore Chapter Markers in Premiere Pro. I used File->Adobe Dynamic Link->Send to Encore. In Encore I setup menus etc. and all was happy. Then, I went back to Premiere and updated some of the Encore chapter markers and added some titling. The titling made it through, but unfortunately the new chapter markers are not showing up in Encore. The Edit->Update Markers from Source menu item is grayed out (also grayed out in the popup menu when I right click on the video footage in the timeline). Note this option isn’t even mentioned in the Adobe help system.
This is a complex project and I really want to update the chapter markers in Premiere, not Encore. Can this be accomplished?

Did you transcode the sequence yet? If so, you’ll need Revert to Original in the File menu.
You can also try deleting the Pr sequence from the En timeline and then adding it back.

Had the same problem. No real ‘obvious’ solution. Had to reload the timeline and relink.

Reverting to original worked!!! Once I did that “Update Markers from Source” was available and all the chapter markers with correct names came in. Awesome – made my day!!!! Thanks Jeff!

Thank you very much for this tip. I am sure it is in the manual somewhere. This just saved me a huge amount of frustration, after I did a lot of editing and shortened my timeline and moved my markers.
