Encore 1st play aspect ratio.
I have a 16:9 standard def DVD to be authored. All is well. The DVD looks fantabulous in all respects… Except the first play item.
I have it set up so that when inserted, the DVD plays a short intro clip, then it goes to the main menu. Like I said, everything looks great. Every asset has the proper aspect ratio… except the stupid first play video clip!
It’s a wide screen video clip, but when I insert it as first play, it crops (not squeezes) to 4:3, and the option to switch it to 16:9 is greyed out.
What gives? any thoughts?

sounds like its encoded 4×3

Sounds logical… But how? I don’t remember seeing any options for encoding.
