I’m not sure if the is a Premiere problem or a AME problem. I have footage shot on a Canon XA10 of a training class that lasted 4 hours. I was able to bring in the footage as one big merged file and it played great in Premiere. When I queue it to AME it begins encoding and after about an hour in, the encoder stops and in Premiere, all the footage is off line. I did this before and it worked great but over the weekend something weird happened with our RAID (G-Tech mini). Our PC would not recognize it unless I formatted it. Now I can only encode the footage in 1 to 1.5 hour chunks but anything longer than that leads to a total failure as described. This is running on a Dell T5600 with 8GB Ram and dual xeons. We have a rather lackluster Nvidia that has CUDA but isn’t an “approved” card. (we’re getting one soon though). I’m encoding the footage as a .wmv. I’m hoping someone can help me figure out if this is a PPro CC, AME, or RAID issue.

any chance it’s stopping with an exported file thats 4gb?

if so, your export drive is probably formatted as Fat32 with
    a 4gb file size limit.

Thanks for the reply. The drive is NTFS formatted. I’ll double check tomorrow but I’m pretty sure it is. Plus the file sizes are below 4 GB because they have to fit on a standard DVD.As soon as I get everything off of the drive I’m going to double check and make sure it’s formatted according to G Techs instructions. I’m thinking I may have missed a setting.
