Hello, I have a 10 minute video that I need to stream on a clients website. I plan on using flash VP6 codec and know that I need to deinterlace to footage upon export. Here’s the question. In my Avid export options window should I select single field? Since this will be viewed on a computer it needs deinterlacing but is single field the same thing as deinterlaced? Thanks.

I wouldn’t exort single field – I don’t think that will do what you want. I’d try deinterlacing in your encoding program. If you have the time, I would definitely do a test (both single field and deinterlacing in your encoding program…)

Thanks John. Indeed I was able to export lower field and then deinterlace in Squeeze. Thanks again and have a great day. -Justin
