Encoded videos not playing properly on Vimeo
I’ve been encoding for Vimeo at 720p HD and trying to do the best I can in Media Encoder. I use the Vimeo HD preset and it looks and plays great before uploading to Vimeo.
It seems that all my videos on Vimeo stutter while most other videos posted by other producers don’t.
Is there something in Media Encoder other than the Vimeo preset I should be cognizant of? I always use 2 pass VBR, render at max quality.
Check this out on Vimeo and you’ll see what I mean. Client is bothered by the stuttering playback.

A lot of time, if you set your bitrate too high, it causes stuttering. Try keeping it at the Vimeo HD preset level without adjusting it and see if you have the same result. Also, what is the frame rate of your video?
