emergency newbie question
I have a clip that I have resized, but it is slightly dark and I want to increase the brightness. HOWEVER when i put the image effect it cancels out the resize…is there a way to keep the resize AND brighten the picture?

Hold Alt when you apply the second effect–it will nest the first effect so the resize won’t go away.

If your Avid system has the color corrector toolset, that is a much better way to change the look of a shot; and it doesn’t interfere with any effects on the layer. You have much more control than in Image Effect.

Cool answer….otherwise add the colour effect 1st and double click the effect to add a nested effect
