    Hi All,

I’m working for a client on a project that purchased several thousand dollars worth of credits from ElevenLabs — if you’re not familiar with them, they are one of the premiere AI audio services, and offer:

    — AI text-to speech ability

    — dubbing studio: automatically translates and dubs video and audio content into over 29 languages (and counting), while preserving the emotion and tone of the original speaker.

    — speech-to-text in 74 (and counting) languages.

    — voice-cloning

    — voice-design (based on prompts)

    — AI-generated music and sound effects.

    — they also have a Productions division category where you can hire humans (!) to create and edit transcripts for subtitles and dubs.

They are also constantly adding new features (such as support for Audiobooks casting, which is coming), and as with most things AI, the quality only improves over time. All of these tasks can be executed and the files downloaded with 11Labs credits.

My client has an Enterprise account, which means he purchased a large number of credits for the project, which has since then pivoted in a different direction, since they were purchased (we are using it for fewer films than we had planned for). That means we can share the credits. The quality is very, very good, and there’s a great number of things you can accomplish with it (see link above).

This is not an ad for their company, and I have nothing to do with them other than having been a user of their services.

If anyone knows of an individual, team or company who has an interest and need for the software, we can share our Workspace (we would just give you access to our account) by giving the buyer a seat, and they would have to pay a fee to share the credits. Because we are an Enterprise member, we have a very good, and low rate, for the credits and will share them at cost.

Thank you, and please email me for details at: ro****@***il.com

Feel free to share my contact info.

    best,

    Rob Garver

    Hey Rob,

Setting aside the big lawsuits currently starting up by
WBD joins Disney and Universal in suing AI firm Midjourney over copyright
    https://www.c21media.net/news/wbd-joins-disney-and-universal-in-suing-ai-firm-midjourney-over-copyright/

How does one know whether ElevenLabs have breached copyright, when they in their Terms suggest that they can anything that anyone uses the plarfom for. Whilst asking the same users to idemnify them?

Which is the small concern that anything you do with ElevenLabs, they might end up claiming ownership. If you read their Terms:

    (d) License to Your Content. You hereby grant to ElevenLabs a license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly or otherwise perform and display, and use your Input to provide the Services (including the trust and safety features therein), to improve the Services, and to develop new services and products. For avoidance of doubt, to the extent that your Input includes your voice, the foregoing license allows ElevenLabs to reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly or otherwise perform, and use your voice, and other indicia of your persona that may be contained therein, to provide and improve the Services, and to develop new services and products. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we will not commercialize your voice on a standalone basis without your permission to do so. Such license shall be:

    • perpetual and irrevocable (which means this license cannot be withdrawn),
    • nonexclusive (which means you can license your Input to others),
    • royalty-free and fully paid (which means there are no monetary fees for this license),
    • worldwide (which means it’s valid anywhere in the world), and
    • sub-licensable, through multiple tiers (which means we can make it available to others).

    (e) License to User Voice Models. To the extent you own or acquire any intellectual property rights in or to any User Voice Models, you hereby grant to ElevenLabs a license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly or otherwise perform and display, and use the User Voice Models to provide the Services (including the trust and safety features therein) to you, to improve the Services, and to develop new services and products.

    (f) License to Outputs Generated via SFX

    (i) If you create any Outputs using ElevenLabs’ Sound Effects product (the “SFX Outputs”), then, without limiting Section 4(c), you hereby grant to ElevenLabs a worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable, and sub-licensable (through multiple tiers) license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display, and otherwise exploit the SFX Outputs for the purposes of operating, maintaining, improving, and enhancing the Services, and developing new services and products.

(ii) You may opt out of the sublicensing of your SFX Outputs to third parties (including making SFX Outputs available to other ElevenLabs users) at any time by using the “Disable” functionality on the Sound Effects product page. Upon processing of such request, your SFX Outputs will no longer be made available for new third-party use; however, this will not affect any sublicenses or uses already granted or commenced prior to the effective date of your opt-out.

    (g) Necessary Rights. You may not provide Input or create Output for which you do not have all the rights necessary to grant us the license described above. You represent and warrant that the Content and User Voice Models, and our use of the Content and User Voice Models, will not violate any rights of any person or entity, or cause injury to any person or entity.

Question remains, is your client allowed to sublet space on ElevenLabs servers?

Sorry, but I would have thought not, as it is offering a lower resell price than what the provider Eleven Labs would have earned + opening the door for pirated content running through their servers, at a discount.

    Just an opinion.
