Electric / neon trace around logo or text?
Hello
I’m really new to After Effects and just getting the grips of everything, but I’m trying to pull off something similar to what’s seen in this video here:

https://streamable.com/s/b6vjk/iovqbgBasically, it has a neon ray or lightning bolt thing quickly loop around the outside of the text or logo. Additionally, it illuminates the otherwise dark logo.
The lightning bolts that have been overlayed I can do, but I haven’t the faintest where to start for this.If you wouldn’t mind recommending some tools and functions that might make this work, or plugins that help, that’d be great. While I certainly am not asking for a step by step guide, if one is provided it would be supreme but again, not needed at all. Any and all help is greatly appreciated
