  Elastic surface with extrusion

  Hello – I am unashamedly brand new to 3D. I have extensive experience in after effects, but only working with 2D effects.

  I am looking for help – I need to produce the following animation and don’t know where to start:

  I would like to modify a 4K video clip so that it appears as if various shapes are extruding through the screen from behind, pushing through to the foreground. In the process this will distort/displace the original video image. I would like the “screen” to have material properties of stretched elastic, so that when the shapes push through there is a plastic wrap kind of effect. The shapes which extrude through will be: A tube and several 3d letters.

  Can this be done in C4D lite? If not can you reccomend rough workflow using C4D, naming plugins or tags that are relevant.

  I am extremely grateful for any help on this.
