Efffect VS track question
Hello all,
I am new to Vegas and have a question for any veteran users:
Assuming that I have multiple video clips on one track, how can I add an effect to one clip without adding it to the entire track? OR do I need to create a new video track for every single piece of video that I import into a project? Surely that CAN’T be the case!! Someone please help!
Also…. how do I get my video’s to render at max quality? The options are vague, and the help isn’t all that helpful.

Simple..just drag and drop the video fx you want directly on
the specific video clip on the timeline.how do I get my video’s to render at max quality?
Depends on what format you want to render to….on the other hand

Apply the clip at the Event (i.e. clip) level.
It’s the icon on the lower right of a clip that looks like a + sign.Render quality depends on the length of your project, what you have on your timeline (video, stills) and whether it’s SD or HD.

I appreciate the help. Thanks. As for the effects to clips, I am fine.
As for video quality, I am still trying to sort it out. Ultimately, the film itself will be just under 2 hours. It is in standard format… at least for now.

The bitrate calculator I use gives the following numbers:
CBR: 4,576,000
VBR: 8,000,000 / 4,576,000 / 2,744,000This uses AC-3 format for the audio.
