Effects Folders are Collapsed after Effect Search is Closed in Premiere Pro CS6
I have submitted a bug report/feature request to Adobe, but perhaps someone has a solution?
No matter what folder(s) in the effects panel you had expanded, after searching for an effect and then closing the search (click “x” in search bar to erase the word(s) you were searching) you are returned to a fully collapsed file structure (all folders are now collapsed). Even just deleting the search term with your delete key (not clicking the “x” to delete) causes this to happen.
In other words, if you have opened many folders and subfolders to have easy access to the effects you are working with (preset bins, video effects, custom bins, etc.), everything that you have opened is now closed (all the folders are collapsed). Opening all the folders you previously had open to access effects again wastes an INCREDIBLE amount of time. Previous versions of Premiere Pro did not exhibit this behavior (your previously expanded folders were still expanded when you deleted terms from the search bar).
