    hi all,

i’ve got a really bizarre error… i’m working in premiere pro 7. an exported sequence displays correctly on-screen when the material is just a segment of untreated source image. however, whenever i have a section that i’ve treated w/an effect, the image becomes smaller; the playback screen displays the image w/black borders. the a/r appears to remain constant, however. the effects i’m using are pretty simple: cross-dissolve and color correction. the magical shrinking image phenomenon lasts only as long as the effect is… well, in effect! then the image returns to normal size.

    project settings:
    – widescreen pal, 48khz

    input files:
    – source material: dv captured directly by premiere
    – file format: dv type 2 avi, avi v.2.0, dvc/dv codec
    – a/r: sar=5:4, par=16:10, dar=4:3
    – 25fps, 720×576 [pal]
    – audio 48khz stereo

    output file:
    – same as source, except avi version is 1.0

any help on how to make the output stop doing that would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

ok, this goes into the ‘oh dopey me’ category…

on a hunch, i imported the project file into a new project based on std pal 4:3 rather than widescreen. the jumping images thing has gone away, the video displays correctly now.
