    Hi,

I am probably missing something, but I’m having an issue with EDL’s that are generated from scene cut detection.
The spots are coming from Avid, so theyre exported to a ProRes file to grade. I split them in scene cut, and save the EDL. Then I load the EDL, with only that clip in the media pool, and everything looks good and I grade.
Several days later I went back to do a revision, and when I opened the session, the EDL was scrambled. Cuts were in the wrong place, the grades were changing mid-shot, a big mess. Every time I reloaded that EDL, it came in this way. The only way to salvage the work was to start a new project, scene cut again, and re-apply saved grades.

    any thoughts?

Make sure the frame rate is the same. Look in your config page. That will alter the ins and outs of shots.

frame rates are the same. Its not just a few frames, its like 4 or 5 seconds. Its like another EDL entirely, it doesn’t correspond to anything in the cut. It even has more cuts, and so has cut points in black, after the last frame. And this is the exact same EDL that I used originally, and it worked fine.

is it possible, that the source file has changed?

for example, you re-exported it, overwriting the old video file.
