  EDL Convert v4 and XDCam HD problem

  Hi All,

  I’m trying to convert the audio from my Vegas project to an OMF using EDL Convert. It does not work. I get Internal error 11 when using EDL Convert directly and an “Exception” error when using scripting within Vegas. When I try to use EDL Convert on a project without XDCam HD files, it works like a charm.

  Is there a problem converting XDCam HD, aka .mxf files? Is there a workaround? Is there another piece of software that will do the convert? I need to produce an OMF file with “handles”. I’m told an AAF file may work too. Or I guess at the end of the day, I need a file that can be opened in ProTools on a Mac, and manipulated.

  I’m trying to get support through the EDL Convert software people, but with the time change and holidays, it has been slow.

  Any help or suggestions from anyone would be very appreciated.
