  EDL batch capturing question

  Hi,

  I’m not an FCP user but I’m wondering how FCP works with imported EDL’s

  Suppose that you’d be given an EDL from an offline edit. In this EDL you’d have a few versions of a commercial. For instance you’d have the same wide shot xyz being used multiple times, but with slightly different source in-out timecodes.

  When you import this EDL in FCP, is there a way to concatenate the events so that you only have to digitize the wide shot once, encompassing all the needed footage ?
