Wouldn’t it matter if she’s PAL or NTSC? If 29.97 I would conform the 25 to 24, then add pulldown to bring it to 29.97 if possible. Or, edit with the 24 in a 30 sequence, and just add pulldown to any problematic shots at the end of the project. Some 24fps looks fine with FCPs duplicate frame method of converting vs. true pulldown.
But 25 in a 30fps sequence just looks bad. We had to try it yesterday. The client gave us PAL footage and unfortunately we needed hours of it. Actually, the 25fps looked ok when it was a locked off shot. But pans and sports, ugh.
edit: I see she’s on a 25fps timeline. But I wonder if she meant 24. Most people don’t accidentally shoot PAL and NTSC. 24 and 30 yes, but 25 and 30?
